Sunday School

 Message From Our CE Committee

There have been many changes over the years, most notably, we began our one-of-a-kind approach to teaching Church School, which we call ‘Living the Promise.’  As you may know, the essence of ‘Living the Promise’ is creativity, every-member participation, and hands-on learning. In this regard, we have done some amazing things, including geo-caching, baking, hiking, drumming, theater and so much more!

Our theme this year is ‘Feeding the Hungry’. We will explore hunger as it applies to Stewardship, Missions, Advent, the Old and New Testaments, Lent, Earth Stewardship, and the Arts. Each month will address these themes in relationship to hunger.

K-6 Sunday education starts after the Children’s time in church except the first Sunday of the month, in which case it begins at 10:30. This allows the children to participate in Communion with the congregation.

We adhere to a Safe Space policy and use an every member teaching program that we call “Living the Promise.”

Join us at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays as we explore what it means to feed the hungry as if applies to the bible, globally and in our community.  Children in Grades K-6 are welcome! Teen helpers are always appreciated.
IN HONOR OF LAURA TUCKER In 2016, we lost our beloved Church School Superintendent, Laura Tucker. Everything we do for our children, every act of care and creativity, we dedicate to her in loving memory of the spirit she brought to her work as a teacher, a woman of faith, and lover of children.
