A Short Course on Islam for Non-Muslims.”

First Congregational Church of Dunbarton, UCC receives New Hampshire Humanities Grant for Islam Lecture.

The Rev. Charles Kennedy will present an overview of Islam and how it is practiced in the United States. He earned a PhD from Yale University’s Department of Near Eastern Languages and Literatures. Kennedy is Professor Emeritus at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and has published widely on the subject of the Bible and early Christian life. He has taught adult education classes at Colby-Sawyer College on such varied topics as Islam, religions in America and vaudeville. The Rev. Kennedy has lived in the Middle East and is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ.

This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

Dunbarton Community Food Pantry

The Dunbarton Congregational church maintains a Food Pantry for Dunbarton Residents located on the second floor of the Vestry building, complete with non-perishable food items and toiletries.
